My issue was something that some would consider non urgent but to me, it was. I obtained an appointment quite easily, I think I had to wait around 2 weeks. The doctor was a lovely helpful person but I can't remember her name unfortunately. Generally, when I do have to see a doctor, they are absolutely brilliant!

Doctor Baverstock is so empathetic. She totally got me and suggested a way forward. I trust her, I believe her. As well as my physical issues I have what can only be described as a psychosomatic affliction. Doctor Baverstock thinks I might benefit from counselling, the first time any doctor had even suggested that. I have now got a telephone appointment with a talking therapist.

I’ve recently been diagnosed with bladder cancer. It appears to have been caught early thanks to Dr Baverstock’s fast action in referring me via fast track. The discussion I had in relation to my general health and her swift action to get blood and urine tests booked was key. I had a UTI and my cancer might have gone undetected if the symptoms were merely put down to the infection rather than taking additional steps to check for cancer ‘just in case’. Thank you Dr Baverstock!
